“We all fell in love with Avatar when it first came out in 2009. We were captivated by the storytelling, the special effects, and the world that Cameron created in his mind,” shares Senior Advisor for Creative Marketing and Multimedia Business, Joe Caliro. “It’s one that Cirque du Soleil is recreating for Filipino audiences, and one that Globe Live is excited to be a part of.”
TORUK – The First Flight will be staged at the Mall of Asia Arena from June 23 to July 2, 2017. Globe Platinum customers get 20 % discount for the for the first 3 shows. And as a special treat, all Globe customers get 15 % discount on tickets.
Narrated by a “Na’vi Storyteller” and populated by unforgettable characters, TORUK – The First Flight is a mythical tale set thousands of years before the events depicted in the film AVATAR, and before any humans ever set foot on Pandora.
Through a riveting fusion of cutting-edge visuals, puppetry and stagecraft buoyed by a soaring cinematic score, Cirque du Soleil applies its unique signature style to James Cameron’s imaginary world and “makes the bond” between two kindred artistic visions that capture the imagination.
“Globe Live is about creating unforgettable experiences, and TORUK is our latest initiative in our commitment to bringing international acts for local audiences,” adds Caliro.
