In a tribute to AXN’s Amazing Race and Suroy-Suroy Sugbo, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the CBM 2017 Tourism team, come up with an adrenaline-packed, adventurous event that unveiled the wonders in the south of Cebu last June 10-12, 2017.
Dubbed as Lumba’g Laag sa Sugbo: A Race to Cebu’s Hidden Attractions, the 3-day simultaneous interactive event was participated by 12 teams which consists of 4 members each.

It drew a total of 12 teams — Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, Start Something, Treasure Island Industrial Corporation, Nyndertals, GMR Megawide Corporation, GT Walkers, CATOS, Performance 360, COH Warriors, Azpired Travelers, OPASCOR and Mikael by Diamonds.
Lumbag Laag sa Sugbo started off its race at the Plaza Independencia to the cities of Naga and Carcar; all the way down to the municipalities Sibonga, Argao, Dalaguete, Boljoon, Oslob, Santander, Samboan, Alegria, Moalboal, Alcantara, Dumanjug, Barili, Aloguinsan, and Pinamungajan and ended up at Toledo city.
Participants were exposed to vigorous physical activities that encompassed also decision-making, well-thought strategies, and, most of all, teamwork.
The winners of the event were feted last June 14 atn the Northwing of SM City Cebu.
Team Golden Prince Hotel and Suite bagged the title while Start Something finished second and Treasure Industrial Island Corporation was third.
The event was co-organized by Habagat Outdoor Equipment, Inc.

Business In Golf Tournament ‘17
As one of the activities of the Cebu Business Month 2017, the Business In Golf Tournament is in lined as one of the highlights of the celebration. This is set to be a goal for the convergence of business and golf enthusiasts in a reprise.
The much-anticipated activity took place, for the second time around, at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club last June 15.
Vedit Kurangil of Sta. Fe Relocation Services bagged the Golfer of the Year Award while Team Nuat Thai set its best foot as title holder of the Business in Golf 2017 Tournament.
The team composed of Kenneth Carredo and Gaudioso Melendez that scored 51 points in the best-ball format. Meanwhile, Elmo Nazareno and Pedrito Buenavista carded 50 points for a team total of 101.
Team Vanex Trading placed first runner-up with a combination of 100 points; Ramon Sebastian with BiG 2017 Chairman Nimrod NL Quiñones for 52 points, and Vicente Go and Alvin Lim with 48 points.
The Globe 1 team, played by Francis Granados, Melvin Alfonso, Archie Villa and Jershwin Po, made a total of 98 points winning the second runner-up prize.
Joseph Macasusi of Globe 2 was the lowest net honors titlist with a score of 11-under-par 47 points and Eric Kong of Alaska Refrigeration bagged the lowest gross award with scores of two-under-par 70 strokes, equivalent to 38 gross points.
The total scores of the four-man team event was determined by the Modified Stableford Scoring System.
