The purpose of the visit was to further promote the sister-city relationship between Cebu City and Yokohama City, which started way back in 2013 by virtue of a Memorandum of Agreement. Upon arriving at their hotel around 8AM of November 8, they immediately conducted their first site visit to Guun Waste Plastic Recycling Plant located in Tayud, Consolacion. The delegation received a brief updating on the status and the performance of the project which was then followed by a tour around the facility. The recycling plant, which inaugurated last May of this year, is owned by the Yokohama-based Guun Corporation.
