On the back of its strong first quarter performance, Globe Telecom is putting its strategy to promote digital transformation in the Philippines into high gear. Globe continues to lead the mobile segment as of the first quarter this year, with mobile service revenues surging to P25.98 billion.

“We are optimistic that the Philippines will be able to catch up with the rest of the region in terms of ICT adoption. We see internet services improving steadily due to continuous investments on network infrastructure. As such leading companies, including SMEs will be encouraged to ride on the digital bandwagon to make service delivery more efficient and reach more customers,” Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu said.
To help achieve digital transformation, Globe looks at sustainable and long term solutions. This include fostering digital education at the grade school level. Globe also supports having a strong IT curriculum so the Philippines can create the next generation of IT leaders similar to countries like India and China.
