Merzci Pasalubong Bread and Pastries, producer of Bacolod’s best food pasalubong announced the grand opening of their first-ever store in Cebu last Friday, October 18, 2019.
Merzci as in “thank you” in French, brought an early Christmas gift to the Cebuanos by bringing its famous and original Negrense delicacies into the City along the famous Colon St. which marks the store as their 63rd branch.
Merzci is the trade name of CM and SONS FOOD Products, INC. and it is the leading bread and food pasalubong producer in Bacolod City and the island of Negros.
Merzci carries a wide array of product lines that aren’t only limited to pasalubongs but also Bakeshops which boast to produce only high-quality breads. They also have a Fast Food restaurant that provides great value meals and their own chain of Purified Drinking Water.
“We’ve been planning to open a store here in Cebu for quite a long time, we even bought a lot to build a storehouse in Paknaan, Mandaue,” said Jonathan Lo, Merzci President.
“In Bacolod, there are a limited number of vessels going to Mindanao. We believe Cebu is the gateway for us to reach more markets in the Visayas and Mindanao where we have been receiving a lot of inquiries about our products,” he said.

The branch in Cebu is, for now, a pasalubong stop shop where the tourists and locals can easily access and taste the pride of these Negrense delicacies.
Merzci Pasalubong is planning to penetrate the retail stores and establish more branches in Cebu next year but as for now, Cebuanos and tourists can only find enjoy these delectable sweets and treats at the Unit 5 Arcenas Building, Colon Street, Kalubihan, Cebu City (Across BPI).
Cebuano fans will be delighted to find Merzci Pasalubong’s top products and best-selling items like Biscocho, cashew-topped butterscotch, crunchy Barquillos, assorted mouth-watering tarts, and the famous hot-off-the-grill Piaya.
And soon with the operation of Merzci’s factory next year, the company will also start selling its famous Napoleones.
