July 2016 came with a surprise. Thanks La Niña!
La Niña is just starting as El Niño is weakening. And based on forecast, La Niña will be with us until the end of the year!
That’s holy muddy and wet information that you can’t help but say, CRAP!
And as they say karma is a bitch, what comes next after El Niño is really a BITCH. A vindictive one. Cebu has taken the brunt. Why oh why?!?
What we’re going to show you are pics and vids collated from social media during the time when the people of Cebu were at its ranting phase when the waters rose on the street and that you would consider taking a boat ride instead of a jeep or a private transport. But the thing is the congestion was so severe even boats could contribute to the heavy traffic.
Yes, we can survive this. Yes, we can. That’s the mantra.
These were captured by Cebuano netizen lenses along Banilad, Cebu City:
This is at A.S. Fortuna, Mandaue City!
Flash Floods in Apas, Cebu City
Along General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City

And the effects of this scenario is a new normal to Cebu.
Cebu Flooding was everywhere!
>>> Outside your house
>>> Inside your houses
>>> Your workplace

>>> Your Grocery stores

>> Or worst, dip your favorite things wet

>>> Or bother you in between your meal time

After the heavy rain, most of us are caught, in between…
>>>Lover’s time
>>>Me time…
>>>Traffic that lasted for hours

>>> Or, waiting in line … feeling “Forever”
And how deep was the flood?
>>>The shark could attack

>>>Boat is the “new normal”
>>>And, in the nearest future, the new public transport in Colon is a boat service.
I guess, that time, this service is available =)
Should we still ignore this and live our lives as if nothing happened?
