Uber Launches #CelebratingCebu Campaign

Uber, the world’s leading ridesharing application, in its aim to celebrate the culture and identity of Cebu, introduced an exciting promotional campaign for Cebuano riders called #CelebratingCebu.
In line with the complete roll out of a cash payment option for all riders in Cebu, #CelebratingCebu is being introduced to enjoin Cebuanos to rediscover their heritage and culture, by experiencing the different sights, flavors, and sounds of the Queen City of the South.
Starting July 8, 2016, Uber will be giving first-time Cebuano riders 50% off on their first 5 rides until July 17. One simply has to enter the promo code CELEBRATECEBU upon sign up to avail of the discounted rides.
From the exciting food destinations of Crossroads Mall and Streetscape to the historic walls of Basilica del Santo Nino and Museo Sugbo, Uber allows riders to experience the best of Cebu by bringing them to these destinations in a safe, comfortable, and convenient ride.

“We’re bringing Uber’s global thrust to celebrate cities to Cebu, and we couldn’t be more excited about it,” Laurence Cua, Uber Philippines general manager said. “Cebu is such a dynamic city that pulsates life. Its culture and hertiage are very unique, and that is what we want to highlight through this campaign. We invite every Cebuano rider to book an Uber and explore everything Cebu has to offer. We’re sure that they’ll fall in love with Cebu all over again.”
