The Department of Labor and Employment, also known as DOLE or Kagawaran ng Paggawa at Empleyo in the Philippines, is one of the executive branches of the government with the responsibility of creating policies, carrying them out through programs and services, and acting as the Executive Branch’s policy coordination body in the area of labor and employment. Its responsibility is to carry out the Labor Code’s requirements.

The major government body tasked with fostering opportunities for gainful employment, developing human resources, protecting employees’ rights and advancing their welfare, as well as maintaining industrial peace is the Department of Labor and Employment.
