Three Philippine resto have listed by the online guidebook 50 Top Pizza as among the Best Pizzerias in the Asia-Pacific for 2022.

At a special ceremony held on August 8 at The Peninsula Bangkok. Representatives for the restaurants Crosta Pizzeria, Wild Flour Italian, and A mano were all honored with certificates. For the first time, 50 Top Pizza has decided to give formal awards. The Philippines then achieved great success as Crosta Pizzeria placed 32nd and Wild Flour Italian followed in just after it at 38th. A Mano finished in the 48th position as well. The Three Philippine resto were recognized and listed among the Best Pizzerias in the Asia-Pacific for 2022.

One of the top Filipino restaurants on the list is Crosta Pizzeria, which was founded in 2017 by Ingga Cabangon Chua and Tommy Woudwyk. The premium sourdough pizza from this beloved Poblacion restaurant known for the soft center and scorched crispy crust.

The lack of sides on Crosta’s menu makes it distinctive compared to other restaurants serving standard Italian food. No spaghetti, breadsticks, or even dessert in the menu. (Crosta once had to offer a dessert pizza with what seemed to be dollops of Nutella; it is no longer available.)

However, dessert pizzas have never really been effective. Any additional jazzy accoutrements would only serve to distract from Crosta’s objective, which is so persistent and devoted. Pizza from Crosta gets where it needs to go, from the base to the toppings, and you go with it.

A Wildflour Café + Bakery branch called Wild Flour Italian opened in Bonifacio Global City in 2019 and offers a menu of freshly made pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. For its most popular special tastes, Asparagus & Prosciutto, Frutti di Mare, and N’duja Sausage, the restaurant utilizes a fresh variety of ingredients that are 90% imported from Europe.

The in-house bakery that each branch of Wildflour has allowed it to consistently provide customers with a wide selection of premium bread, pastries, cakes, pies, and desserts that are still fresh from the oven. From only being a brunch café, Wildflour, also offers a delectable dinner menu with quality imported steaks, catch-of-the-day fish, and a large wine and liquor selection.

These foods are in addition to its scope of freshly made coffee, tea, smoothies, and juices. For both regulars and visitors visiting the Philippines for the first time. Wildflour is a must-experience location in the Metro Manila culinary scene because of all of these; Friendly, welcoming service and an atmosphere that is uniquely rustic and old-world.

A mano from Rockwell, Makati, also won the One to Watch 2022 – Solania Award. Amado Forés opened the restaurant in 2019. And it is well-known for Napoli-style pizzas made with genuine Italian ingredients. Hand-made pizzas, cooked up in its Napoli-style brick pizza ovens.

Which take their cue from its philosophical term, a mano, which means “by hand.” Some of the most popular items on the menu include the Pizza Siciliana, Pizza Carbonara, and Pizza with Potato Ricotta.

Before the restaurant opened in 2019, Chef Carla Brigliadori, an Italian chef from Casa Artusi in Italy, traveled to Manila to instruct the A Mano cooks on how to prepare their unique kind of pasta and pizzas from scratch. Amado quickly came up with a distinctive menu that soon gained popularity with customers.

The Focaccia di Recco, a Ligurian flatbread cooked in Italian copper pans and loaded with stracchino, mozzarella, and a variety of cheeses, is one of their signature dishes. Another house specialty and a must-try are the recently created Burrata Gelato Soft, a novel twist on burrata on the dessert side—something no one has attempted or accomplished in the Philippines. Daily fresh and scratch preparation is used to make everything at A Mano.
