Metro Cebu’s most anticipated cultural event, Gabii sa Kabilin (Night of Heritage), is returning for its 2023 edition on May 12,2023, offering locals and tourists alike a unique opportunity to explore the city’s vibrant history, art, and traditions. The event, organized by the Cebu City Government, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI), and local cultural institutions, celebrates Cebu’s rich cultural heritage through a night of immersive activities, performances, and guided tours.
Gabii sa Kabilin provides unique and entertaining activities to enhance historical trips. From 6:00 PM to midnight, 22 partner museums and heritage sites in Cebu, Mandaue, and Talisay will host indoor and outdoor exhibits, cultural presentations, children’s activities, contests with cash prizes, food bazaars, and other activities. Depending on the type of ticket purchased, ticket holders can walk, take buses, or ride in a tartanilla (horse-drawn carriage).

Gabii sa Kabilin 2023 will include traditional Cebuano dance performances, craft workshops, culinary displays, and storytelling. These events will emphasize the need of conserving Cebu’s cultural legacy for future generations through engaging and educating youth.
Gabii sa Kabilin 2023 will feature two ticket categories as well. Ticket prices with bus rides and one (1) free Tartanilla ride are P300 and P200, respectively. Senior citizens, those with disabilities, and students with valid ID will receive a P20 discount. If accompanied by a GSK ticket holder, children under seven are free. Proceeds from the event will support the participating cultural institutions and future heritage projects in Cebu City.
