Fast food giant McDonald’s is taking a nostalgic trip back to the ’80s and ’90s with its latest limited-time offerings: Filipino ChocNut and sweet corn-infused treats.

Nostalgic Flavors Return

In a nod to beloved childhood snacks like Funny Komiks and “Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific”, McDonald’s is bringing back the flavors of ChocNut and sweet corn. This move aims to give customers a taste of nostalgia with familiar and cherished flavors.

To combat the ongoing heat, McDonald’s is introducing the ChocNut Sundae and McCafe ChocNut Frappe. These offerings provide a delectable blend of chocolatey, nutty sweetness. Infusing McDonald’s World-Famous Fries with a unique sweet and salty twist, these complement the Sweet Corn McShaker Fries.

Customers can enjoy the Sweet Corn McShaker Fries in medium, large, or BFF sizes, or upgrade their fries with any meal. The ChocNut Sundae is available ala carte or as an add-on for P55. The ChocNut Frappe is available in medium and large sizes or as a drink upgrade at select McCafe branches.

Catering to Filipino Palate

Katrina Lee-Chua, McDonald’s local Director for Marketing and Channels, highlights the importance of incorporating familiar Filipino flavors into the menu. “By doing so, we are not only catering to the Filipino palate but also creating a shared experience across generations,” she explains.

In addition to the nostalgic treats, McDonald’s has enhanced its Double Cheeseburger. This guarantees melted cheese, juicier beef patties, and fresher vegetables with a 60% reduction in stored produce.

“With our Best-Everrr Burgers and new nostalgic sides,” Lee-Chua adds, “We aim to create unforgettable moments. Our goal is to deliver feel-good experiences that keep our fans of all ages coming back for more.”

Experience these iconic flavors, available for a limited time, at McDonald’s branches nationwide. Don’t miss the nostalgic taste of childhood snacks like Funny Komiks and “Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific.”
