While keeping specific character details under wraps, the filmmakers confirm that Bautista will lend his voice to the villainous character in the film.

While plot details are scarce, fans speculate that Eric Nam may voice the titular character, Aang, with Jessica Matten and Dionne Quan likely portraying Aang’s allies, Katara and Toph, respectively. These speculations have added to the excitement surrounding the film’s release.

The animated “Aang: The Last Airbender” movie is part of Avatar Studios’ ambitious plans to expand the ATLA universe. With original showrunners Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino on board as producers, fans can expect an authentic and immersive experience.

Storyboard artist Lauren Montgomery, known for her work on ATLA and its sequel “The Legend of Korra“, will helm the project. The film promises fans a captivating journey back into the world of bending and adventure, with a slated release on October 10, 2025.

Since the conclusion of the original series in 2008, the Avatar franchise has seen various adaptations, including a critically-panned live-action movie in 2010. However, with Netflix’s recent renewal of its live-action ATLA series adaptation, and now the animated film, fans are eager for fresh interpretations of the beloved story.
