Cebu Blogging Community officially started as a community Facebook group named “Bloggers of Cebu” on July 2014.
The succeeding days and months paved way in the formation of the community, thanks to the proactive leadership of Mary Narvasa, Channel Marie Imperial, Gay Aida Dumaguing and Bjorn Bernales.
Bloggers, old and new, have been given the chance and encouragement to be interactive on the community FB group by posting their recent blog posts, sharing blogging opportunities and event invitations.
In March 2015, the first Ultimate Meetup was staged at Diamond Suites Cebu where the first ever digital and bloggers manifesto in the Philippines was signed. It was at this event that many friendships formed among the bloggers.
It was during the Ultimate Meetup that the group agreed on creating guidelines, rules and regulations in posting on the community. This would help alleviate any posting that is only for self-serving purpose.

The following months, the community selected Jhannic Vincentte Villadolid and Jephunneh Flores to be part of the leadership and help the growing numbers of members in the community.
With the added roster of leads, CBC 1st Anniversary was materalized at F Cafe. This led to more events for mentorship and trainings organized specially for the members of the community.
Other niche leads were added including Carlo Andrew Olano, Thaddeau Engaling II, Rome Nicolas Bonsocan, Emjae Argallon, Katherine Anne Cutar, Rose Lapina, and Cesar Ian Fuentes. Their exemplary blogging skills and passion paved way for their nomination as Community Niche Leads.
In Dec. 2015, the bloggers of Cebu Blogging Community supported Cebu Blogging Summit 2015 at Century Plaza Hotel.
