It’s drafted from Suroy-Suroy Sugbo however Lumba’g Laag Sa Sugbo is basically like AXN’s amazing race. It also aims for people to discover more of Cebu and it’s hidden attractions.
Lumba’g Laag Sa Sugbo will commenced on June 10 to 12 at South Cebu.
There will also be a Digital Marketing Competition that shall encourage students from different universities and colleges to capture first-hand information of LGUs/municipalities to create a promotional campaign in a digital way.
And lastly, a Cebu Travel and Tourism Summit which will serve as a venue to create a knowledge sharing platform and promotion on the latest Travel Technology that shall put Cebu as a prime tourist destination not only locally but also internationally.
The ICT-BPM Area which is headed by last year’s CBM 2106 chairman Christian Paro-an and Co-headed by Michael Cubos will hold a Cebu Digital Innovation Summit that will bring together local, national and foreign experts to discuss opportunities and challenges of the coming development and trends as well as its impact particularly among MSME’s to help them adapt in digital innovation and new technologies set to disrupt their businesses.
Each year, the Chamber which is now headed by Ms Melanine Ng ensures that CBM will move to greater heights by making it more meaningful and relevant to the current needs and trends to help the business community in Cebu and neighboring islands to sustain growth and development.
“Stepping Up means going up one notch or more and that’s what we are trying to do this year with the CBM. A need for the academe and industry to talk with each other because what the academe is producing is not really what the industry needs.” -Nimrod Quiñones, CBM 2017 Vice Chairman
Aside from the activities and events from the 4 major areas, CBM is also doing series of workshops that has already started last Feb 22. Shaping A New Workforce is an Industry-Academe Consultation Workshop that aims to help the academe meet the industry’s needs by making sure that students are well equipped and prepared enough for the industry’s workforce.
CBM 2017 will hold series of mini press conferences to maximize the awareness of what CBM 2017 has to offer. This will also serve as an avenue to highlight the confirmed sponsors. Their first leg was held at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites which is one of the sponsors along with Island Premium Paints and their representative that was also present as one of the panelists.
CBM 2017 will tentatively stage their Grand Launching and Press Conference this coming April 27 , 2107 at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu with CBM 2017 Overall Chairman Charles Kenneth Co.
